transperfect is looking for a proactive, motivated, and performance-driven professional, capable of working inside a team and individually. the positions of project coordinators, project managers and senior project managers are key players at transperfect translations. they execute all projects from start to finish and serve as a single point of accountability for their successful completion.

primary duties & responsibilities:
basic tasks
complete administrative tasks including organization of emails and documents, import/export of data, document creation and maintenance, printing files for jobs
billing; contacting linguists to resolve issues such as invoice/word count discrepancies; data entry

job preparation
creating purchase orders
creating and tracking schedules for individual projects and departments
calculate and assigns budgets
logging costs, scores, and general job information onto spreadsheets
assess/understand complex job requirements
creating project plans for internal and external use
identify and set up linguistic team
process innovation and improvement

job placing
with the guidance of a project manager, manage simple projects: placing jobs, setting up jobs; contacting linguists, setting up deadlines, and negotiating prices

vendor management
follow-up with vendors, contact vm team with any requests, vendor calendar management, expansion of vendor selection and creation of potential vendor lists
engage, recruit and train vendors for accounts
maintain relationships with vendors

linguistic asset management
maintenance of tm & glossary
creation and maintenance of reference material
formatting using .doc,.pdf, and .xls files; importing images from pdf files to word document, etc.
manage new glossary set-up

communication
effective communication and coordination with vendors, team members and other departments (cs/sales, vm/linguists, dtp, media and engineering)
manage client relationships and communication (written, verbal and meetings)
organize language calls

quality management
analyze client feedback/root cause and drive appropriate actions
assist in cr investigations
actively participate in the implementation of preventive actions
manage full cr investigation independently
create immediate, corrective and preventive actions

final eye
conduct final eye and project delivery upon graduation on regular, special and sample projects
final check of deliverables against initial instructions

consultancy
share knowledge and expertise with internal and external stakeholders
suggest improvements and innovation for existing processes

troubleshooting
solve technical issues in collaboration with the appropriate support team
identify route causes and communicate findings to the rest of the team
handle escalations

risk management
identify and anticipate risks (severity, likelihood, early detection)
communicate potential failure modes to stakeholders
act as to avoid identified failure modes
flag risks externally

sample jobs
identify/understand project requirements
identify best vendors for the new client

mt deployment
liaise with internal machine translation team for set-up and training
drive implementation with linguists

primary duties & responsibilities:
typically requires 2 years of related work experience
requires at least 1 year of experience as pc in the company
minimum bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
