Position Purpose:
oto assist in-house lawyer to provide accurate and timely legal support primarily in drafting documents (contracts, legal opinions, guidelines)

Major tasks and responsibilities of position
ocreation/revision of various documentation such as resolutions, letters to authorities, revision of guidelines, etc
ocompletion of review/revision of simple contracts, with minimum supervision from the lawyers so that there is an efficient use of resources
olegal research at times resulting in a formal memo
omaintenance of various lists, such as contract checklist showing outstanding, completed, and identifying by contract type; monitoring of changes in legal requirement, etc.
ohigh level translation Chinese to English, and English to Chinese


Qualifications and Ability
olaw degree from a reputable law school
ostrong English and Chinese language skills
oexcellent analytic abilities
oresourceful, has initiative, solutions-oriented, impeccable ethics and integrity
oability to work in a large organization and good team-work skills
